In this example, we're going to go through, and I'm going to show you how to enter and import symbols into the watch list.

The easiest way to put symbols into the watch list is just to type them into this "Add to Watch List" box. So, if we would like to have Meta, we can type "META." If we'd like Apple, we type "AAPL." Each time we hit enter, it adds it to our list.

Now, there's an easier way. You can type "IBM," and you can separate it by a comma. Then you can say "CAT," and you can separate it by a comma again. Finally, you can say "AGG" and "VJT," and then you hit enter. Of course, that'll add those to the list as well. So, that's one way of adding symbols to the list.

The second way I would like to show you is a simple process of taking a comma-separated list, which you may have typed somewhere or have imported. You can just highlight it like this and hit Ctrl + C, or in this case, you can hit copy. Then you come back over to Track and Trade and just hit Ctrl + V. Alternatively, you can just right-click in that list and hit paste. That pastes that list in there, comma-separated, just like we had typed before.

This time, we hit "Add to Watch List," and it goes ahead and adds those to our watch list.

Now, another way that you can get a comma-separated list, and I'm going to show you just a little bit of a real-world example. We're going to come in here to Yahoo, and I'm just going to grab the symbols off of Yahoo. We're just going to grab a few of these just like this and go ahead and hit Ctrl + C for copy.

Now, I'm going to go into Excel. In Excel, I can come in here and just hit Ctrl + V for paste, or I could have just hit "Paste," right-click, and hit "Paste." That would have done the same thing, right? We could hit "Paste Special," and we could just say "Text" like this. Then we could get a list. Either way, it's going to work for us.

But then we just highlight that list of symbols, just like this, and we come in here and right-click on that and say "Copy." Now, we come back to Track and Trade, put our cursor into the list, hit Ctrl + V, or right-click and say "Paste." It's going to put the list in there for us as well.

We go ahead and hit "Add to Watch List," and it's going to add it to the list. Okay, so there are several ways of adding symbols to our watch list.
