Opening Charts from Watchlists

Video Transcript

In this video, I'm going to example for you how to open charts that are in your watch list.

So, the first thing we need to do is come over to the Charts tab, create a new portfolio, or we could use this portfolio if you prefer. But we're going to create a new portfolio. We're going to call it "Portfolio 2," say okay, and then we're going to come back over to our watch list and select the charts that we would like to open.

Now, there are several ways that we can do this. The first is we can just double-click on one. If we double-click on ADMA, you'll notice that it brings it over to the Charts tab automatically and opens that chart. We now have it in Portfolio 2.If we come back over to the watch list and we'd like to have Caterpillar in there, we double-click Caterpillar, and it then automatically switches over to the Charts tab and opens Caterpillar.

Now, if we go back to the watch list, there are several ways that we can open up multiple charts. We can come in and select the first chart in the list, hold down the Shift key, and then select a range just like that. By clicking on the last one of the range, we could select the entire list. We could come in, select the first one, go to the very bottom, hold down the Shift key, and it’s going to select the entire range once again.

Now, we can select individuals. We can come in here, hold down the Control key, and then select each individual stock that you want, and it will select individual stocks out of the list, so you don't have to take the whole list.

What you do is right-click, say "Open Chart," and it'll bring just those stocks over into your Charts Portfolio 2 list. So, again, if we come to the watch list and we want to bring the entire list over, we select the first one, hold down the Shift key, select the last one of the range, right-click on it, and say "Open Charts."
